Parental Rights

Parental Rights

As stated by Independence Institute, “Due to extended periods of virtual learning, heightened social tensions, and extensive media coverage of a variety of hot-button issues, parents have taken a keener interest in the business of their children’s education than at any other time in recent memory.”

Across the country and state, we have seen an increasing prominence of worldview sculpting. In 2022, A Greeley middle school teacher was inviting students to a secret LGBTQ+ club and deliberately intended to deceive parents.

Advocates for D-20 Kids collected about 400 signatures from D-20 parents calling on the district to remove posters promoting LGBTQ+ clubs in middle schools. D-20 clubs are only allowed to advertise on school walls if they are curriculum-based. Clubs pertaining to sexuality have no place in a middle school and are certainly not curriculum based. The D-20 school board majority has consistently remained faithful to honoring parental rights despite being protested and maligned by political operatives.
